Take a break in a mountain village just on the other side of the tunnel.

People have crossed over Utsunoya Pass since the time of the Manyoshu poetry collection in the 7th century. Villages along the way maintain the townscape of unofficial post towns between Mariko-juku and Okabe-juku. You will feel like you have stepped back in time when you see the names of Edo Period shops in this place spoken of in ancient poems.

Utsunoya pass is a mountain pass on the city boundary between Shizuoka City and Fujieda City.
There are various spots on the Fujieda City side.
